The transfer window has closed for every top European league but planning will already be all underway for the summer window. Teams are working tirelessly behind the scenes on identifying targets and figuring out their budgets.
Managers will be constantly assessing their squads with sporting directors and recruitment staff scanning the market for potential deals. A plethora of players will become available in the summer where clubs famously have more money to spend and aren’t as restricted by financial fair play rules. The rumour mill is beginning to pick up pace and we’ve collated some of the biggest current transfer stories.
Newcastle have reportedly set a piece tag of €100 million for Alexander Isak. The Swedish international is attracting interest from major European clubs due to his outstanding form this season. Liverpool, Arsenal and Barcelona have all been linked with Isak and Newcastle are likely to receive offers this summer.
Liverpool are the latest club to express interest in Dean Huijsen. The 19-year-old has been a revelation at Bournemouth this season since joining from Juventus. It’s understood that Huijsen has a release clause in his contract that becomes active this summer.
According to reports in Brazil, West Ham will sanction the sale of Lucas Paquetá at the end of the season with Flamengo leading the race. Meanwhile, Rayan Cherki remains on Everton’s radar after a move for the Lyon starlet in January failed to materialise.
