There’s only a few days left of the January transfer window with clubs across Europe looking to get deals over the line to enhance their squads for the second half of the season. Teams are working tirelessly behind the scenes on identifying targets to sign or loan.
Managers will be constantly assessing their squads with sporting directors and recruitment staff scanning the market for potential deals in the market. A plethora of players will be unhappy with their lack of minutes, with their agents aiming to secure them a move to ensure first-team football for the second half of the season. Tottenham’s prime attacking target Mathys Tel has rejected the opportunity to move to the North London club. Spurs were prepared to pay Bayern Munich around €60million to sign Tel but the Frenchman has turned them down. And according to the Independent, Tel would prefer a move to Manchester United with a loan deal possible before the deadline – Chelsea also remain interested.

Tottenham, however, remain firmly in the race to bring Fikayo Tomori back to England from AC Milan as they look to strengthen their centre-backs options. Chelsea have entered the race to sign Evan Ferguson with the Irish striker available on-loan from Brighton, according to the Guardian.
