The transfer market remains closed until January but clubs are still extremely busy behind the scenes as they plan for future arrivals. There’s now just a few days until the winter window opens and clubs are already working tirelessly behind the scenes on identifying targets to sign or loan.
Managers will be constantly assessing their squads with sporting directors and recruitment staff scanning the market for potential deals in the upcoming market. A plethora of players will be unhappy with their lack of minutes with their agents aiming to secure them a move to ensure first-team football for the second half of the season. The rumour mill is beginning to pick up pace and we’ve collated some of the biggest current transfer stories.
Monaco attacker Maghnes Akliouche is reportedly attracting interest from a host of top European clubs ahead of the January window. Manchester City, Atletico Madrid, PSG, Inter Milan and Newcastle United have all been linked with the 22-year-old.
Alphonso Davies’ contract at Bayern Munich expires at the end of the season and the Canadian international is open to a move to the Premier League. Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United all hold an interest in the left-back.
Maxim De Cuyper is enjoying a brilliant season with Club Brugge with Premier League giants Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham all monitoring his development. Meanwhile, PSG are interested in Aston Villa star Jhon Durán, according to reports in Spain.
