On Sunday evening UEFA crowned Spain and Manchester City midfielder Rodri the player of the tournament, following his nation’s 2-1 victory over England in the final. But who do you think was the best player of the 2024 European Championship? All registered users of Transfermarkt can now give their answer to this question in the Player of the Tournament vote. But make sure you place your vote before Tuesday afternoon at 4pm CET. 

There are 24 candidates to choose from to succeed Italy’s goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, who received both the Transfermarkt and UEFA awards three years ago at Euro 2022. You can choose the best footballer in his position from among six goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders and forwards. Once you have picked a player in each position, you will then be asked to pick your overall player of the tournament. Among those in the draw are Spain prodigy Lamine Yamal and top scorer Dani Olmo, as well as Germany’s top scorer Jamal Musiala, England star Jude Bellingham and France’s goalkeeper Mike Maignan, who kept a clean sheet in four of his nation’s six games.
